3 Myths Your Female Chiropractor Wants You to Stop Believing

There are a lot of myths out there about female chiropractors and we are tired of hearing them! Check out these 3 myths, and the truth, about your female chiropractor.

Myth: Females are not strong enough

There are at least 10 active chiropractic treatment technique options available to treat patients at Sioux Falls Chiropractic. Some are light, some are more firm; females do ALL of them.

Myth: I'm too big for a female to adjust me

Manual chiropractic manipulation is all about knowing your leverage points. It takes a lot of education and training to know exactly how the joints are aligned in each area of the body; that's why it take chiropractors 9 years of college and post-graduate education to get a degree. Once you understand the intricacies of human anatomy, and how to leverage your body weight properly to execute a particular manipulation, adjustments can be done on ANY patient. It isn't about size or strength, it is about understanding the way joints work and working with the body not against it.

Myth: Females only treat women and children

Actually, female doctors treat everyone; they treat injured workers under workers compensation, elite athletes, babies, children, and adults - males and females. In fact, our female doctors at Sioux Falls Chiropractic treat males to females at almost a 50/50 ratio and have great success with all types of patients.
